Textile material that supports our tomorrow
NUNOUS is completely new cloth-based and upcycled material that a long established dying and processing company ‘SEISHOKU’ with a history of 140 years proposes for tomorrow.
Each one has different pattern like marble and various processability.
Generally, textile and fashion industries could be top 10 worst causes of environmental pollution.
However, most of humans wear clothes.
Clothes would be very familiar material for everyone.
NUNOUS proposes new future for cloth and global environment.
Enormous invisible wastes
Globally, the textile industry would be still the growing industry.
Even domestic production volume of fabric in Japan will reach approximately 1.8 billion m² (according to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry data).
Japanese fabric has quite high quality based on strict criteria, however, on the other hand, there are also many substandard products. These
substandard products could reach more than *9 mil. m² even only Japan.
(*equivalent to 192.5 Tokyo domes)
Completely new ‘upcycling’ of substandard products
Since substandard products are difficult to be recycled, most of them have been grinding or burning.
Unlike the conventional way, NUNOUS can actualize upcycling methods which can remain fabric color and its texture.
So that, ‘enormous invisible wastes’ can be converted into ‘visible beautiful material.’
Communicating these invisible wastes, we will build new relationships between wastes, companies, and humans.
